Pedicure Tips
Step 5 - Buffing

Below I will be stepping you through the Pedicure Tips associated with Buffing.

The aim here is to make your nails smooth and shiny using a 3 Way Buffer.

Buffing Technique

  • Always buff in 1 direction only
  • Buff from the matrix to the free edge until the nail appears shiny
  • Use a 3 Way Buffer and start buffing using the roughest part (black section in buffer shown).
  • Then buff using the intermediate part (white section).
  • Finish buffing with the smoothest side (silver section).
  • Remove dust with damp gauze to prevent the dust from mixing with the nail polish.
  • Once you have completed all toe nails, apply Cuticle Oil onto the cuticle line and massage into the skin. This is used to help nourish the dry skin.

Techniques to Avoid

  • Try to avoid buffing from side to side, as it could damage the matrix.
  • Dont buff too fast - try to keep the speed under control.
If you start feeling heat in your nail, slow down to prevent your nail from drying out.
