Pedicure At Home
Step 1 - Foot Care

So lets get things started with learning Pedicure at Home by looking at how to care for your feet.

Why is Foot Care Important??

  • To clean feet thoroughly before you touch
  • To soften and remove hard skin from the heels
  • To prevent future cracking of the heels

Foot Care Procedure

  1. First we need to prepare a bath for the feet. This can either be a specific foot bath or a bucket that allows you to place both feet in at the same time. This will increase circulation in the feet as well as having a relaxation effect.
  2. Fill your bath with warm water along with bath gel or hand soap. A few drops of aroma oil will help you to relax.... Smiley
  3. Place your feet into the bath, and leave them in there for 5 minutes to soak.
  4. You can then make your feet smooth by rubbing the skin with salt or body scrub.
  5. Wet the Pedi Rasp and start rubbing the hard skin on your heels in a circular motion using the rough side of the rasp. Try to limit the pressure, as too much will lead to further hardening of the skin in the future. Stop rubbing when you start seeing a milky white color on the surface of the pedi rasp.
  6. Use the smooth side of the pedi rasp to rub the soles of the feet, also in a circular motion. As the soles of the feet are more sensitive, reduce the pressure even further and limit the time spent on rubbing – a couple of circular motions across the entire foot is sufficient.
  7. Thoroughly dry your feet with a clean towel.
