Water Marbling

  • Prepare finger bowl with water.
  • Drop a few different colors of nail polish in the bowl (sitting on the surface of the water).
  • I recommend avoiding nail polishes with big glitters or those that are heavy and don’t float on the surface of the water.
  • Using a tooth pick (or something long and skinny), drag the surface of the water to create lines of color that you like.
  • Touch the water with the surface of the nail
  • Push your finger through the surface of the water.
  • Remove all the remaining nail polish that is floating in the water, using an orange stick wrapped in cotton wool.
  • Once the nail polish is removed, you can take your finger out of the water.
  • Remove nail polish that is attached to your finger and cuticle using the same orange stick and cotton wool combination.
  • Repeat for all fingers, one at a time.
  • Allow all nails to dry thoroughly
  • Apply top coat to each nail.
