How to Apply Acrylic Nails
I have setup 3 stages to help you learn how to apply acrylic nails:
- Preparing your fingernails to grow
- Extending your nails using acrylic mixture
- Shaping and shining your acrylic nails
Stage 1 - Acrylic Nail Procedure
First up we need to get our fingernails ready by following the steps below:- Wash hands with Anti-Bacterial soap or wipe hands with Anti-Bacterial wipes/spray. This will avoid capturing germs under the acrylic nails.
- Pour Acrylic Liquid into Container using Orange Stick
- File down your natural nails and then push up the cuticles
- Make the surface of the nail rough using 150 grid file. Make sure the file doesnt go over the same area repetively as this can cause the nails to become too thin. It is very important to control the pressure of your hand with the file.
- Dust off ands make sure the surface of the nails is of equal roughness.
- Apply dehydrator or pre-primer on your nails using gauze or the brush that comes with the bottle.
- Wipe excess primer onto a paper towel and then apply to your nails. Please be careful with the primer as it is strongly acidic and can burn your skin. For this reason it is very important to avoid contact with the cuticle and skin.
- Remove the sticker from the center of the form and apply to the back to strengthen the form.
- Cut the edge of the form in the shape of your hyponichium. Apply form to your nails, making sure it is attached securely with no gaps in between the form and the nailplate and with straight lines from the sidewall.
