Overall Approach

Throughout the instructions below, please design on one toenail at a time, progressively moving across both feet as in the diagram below.

It is also important to start with the same toenail for each new step below as this will allow each nail enough time to be ready for the next coat and prevent streaking from occurring.

Step by Step French Pedicure Instructions

  1. 1. Complete the first 5 steps of Home Pedicure (Foot Care, Cuticle Care, Foot Massage, Filing & Buffing).
  2. 2. Apply the base coat, starting from the cuticle line and moving up to the free edge, starting from the centre of the nail and then both sides of the nail.
  3. 3. Apply the base color in the same manner described for the base coat for all nails.
  4. 4. Apply a second coat of base color once the first coat is completed on all nails. It is important to apply the second coat with a light pressure so that you will not drag the first coat.
  5. 5. Apply white color nail polish to the edge of the nail.

Step by Step French Pedicure Instructions (Cont.)

  1. 6. Using a small amount of white nail polish to draw a line from one side of the free edge to other side in one motion. Only one coat is applied for this step.
  2. 7. Apply a second coat of white enamel over the line that was drawn in Step 6. It is important that the second coat is thick enough to prevent streaking from occurring.
  3. 8. Remove any excess enamel that has gone onto the skin. Use nail polish remover on a tiny amount of cotton wool with an orange stick.
  4. 9. Apply the top coat starting from the free edge to prevent dragging the white enamel. Then apply the top coat to the remainder of the nail.
  5. 10. Allow your nails to dry thoroughly before touching.
