Step 1 - Foot Care

So lets start Foot Care by cleaning and refreshing your feet first!

I will show you the step by step procedure for using a foot spa, but you can do this when you are having a shower as well.

What you need is...

  • A foot bath or a bucket that allows you to place both feet in at the same time
  • Bath gel or hand soap
  • Body scrub or salt
  • A foot file
  • A clean towel

Preparation

Let’s first remove any left over toe nail polish!

  1. Take some nail polish remover on a piece of cotton wool and place on the toe nail.
  2. Hold it for 10 seconds and gently wipe off the nail polish.
  3. Wipe the corners of the toenail as well as underneath the toenail.

Foot Care Procedure

  1. Fill your bath with warm water along with bath gel or hand soap. A few drops of aroma oil will help you to relax....
  2. Place your feet into the bath, and leave them in there for 5 minutes to soak.
  3. Using salt or body scrub, rub the hell, between toes and the sole of the foot. This will remove surface dead skin and make your foot nice and smooth.
  4. Dip the Foot File in the water to make it wet and start rubbing the hard skin on your heels using the rough side of the foot file.
  5. Rub bottom of the heel and corner of the heel. Move the foot file in a circular motion, and try to limit the pressure, as too much will lead to further hardening of the skin in the future.
  6. Continue rubbing until you start seeing a milky white color (dead skin) on the surface of the foot file.
  7. Use the smooth side of the foot file to rub the ball of the foot and the arch in a circular motion. As the soles of the feet are more sensitive, reduce the pressure even further.
  8. Rinse to remove any scrub granules and dry your feet with a clean towel.
