Acrylic Nails
Learning how to perform acrylic nails is a wonderful skill as it can help you extend the length of your natural nails.
Safety with Acrylic Products
Before we get started with applying acrylics, there are a few important safety precautions to consider:
- Make sure the room is well ventilated
- Wash your hands thoroughly after using acrylic nail products
- Keep acrylic products out of reach of children and pets
- Most acrylic products are flammable so it is important to store them in a cool place and avoid heat and direct sunlight.
- Do not apply acrylic products onto the skin, or put into eyes or mouth.
- If you suffer from nail disorders or have thin/weak nails, you would be advised NOT to use acrylic products.
- If rashes or redness occur during or after using acrylic products, stop using and contact your doctor.
This may sound like a long list of precautions, but it is very important that you read and understand them.
My personal opinion is that as long as you follow these precautions and have healthy nails, using acrylic products will not damage your natural nails.
Critical Advice
One very important tip when it comes to acrylics is:
- DO NOT rip or lift your acrylics in any way
Because ripping or lifting of acrylics will lead to damage to your natural nails.
