We are ready to start going through the acrylic nail tips for shaping, now that the base of the acrylic nails have been completed.

Stage 3 - Shaping of Acrylic Fingernails

  1. File down the length of the free edge with a 100 grit board
  2. Make the sidewalls straight - from both side view and top view.

  1. Buff the surface of the nail with 150 grit board
  2. Buff with a sponge buffer (Use a rougher one first and a smoother second, if you have both).
  3. Buff with shiner until a nice shine appears

  1. Look at your nails from behind the nail to check the length of the nails is the same.
  2. Wash your hands and remove all the dust from your hands
  3. Apply cuticle oil and massage into the cuticle.
  4. Apply a top coat if needed and you are finished!!
