Acrylic Nails
Step 3: Acrylic Nail Extensions
Acrylic Nail Extensions Procedure
- Prepare natural nails (Acrylic Nails Step 1) and apply form (Acrylic Nails Step 2).
- Pick a firm large sized acrylic mixture and place it onto the free edge of the nail.
- Tap the back of the mixture to blend evenly.
- Make sure both sides of the free edge are running straight along the natural nail.
- Push the top to make the square shaped free edge.
- Pick a soft medium sized acrylic mixture and place it onto the middle of the nail plate.
- Lightly press the back of the mixture to blend in, and then drag to spread.
- Pick a softer small sized acrylic mixture and place it onto the nail plate close to the cuticle line.
- Press the mixture to make ot flatten and spread to the cuticle line.
- Stroke a few times over the entire nail.
- Perform Step 1 on the next fingernail.
- Feel the free edge and if its hard enough (not totally set through) remove the form. The form should come off easily when the nail is hard enough.
- Apply pressure on the base of the nail, free edge of natural nail and acrylic free edge from the sides to make the extended nail straight. This will prevent acrylics to come off easily, and also prevent losing the nice C curve.
- Occassionally repeat Step 13 until the nail gets set into shape.
- Repeat Step 2 to 14 on other fingernails.
- Once finished working on all nails, you are ready to continue to the next step, which is buffing the extended nails!!
We're not finished just yet!!
